The buses could be distinguished from those standard KMB Alexander Tridents by various features. For examples, the extra dipped headlights on the bumper, the front destination blind panel, the lugguage rack, or the orange seats, were retained. However some of these differences disappeared after modification work in later years.
During the earlier periods after the transfers, the original LWB fleet numbers remained unchanged. Among the 20 buses, 6 later returned to the LWB fleet, they were 101, 124, 152, 160, 161, 171 and 173. The remain 14 were retained in the KMB fleet permenantly with their fleet numbers re-assigned to ATR355-368 in 2002. In 2010, further Tridents were transferred from LWB to KMB.
This page includes photographs of the original 20 LWB Tridents transferred to KMB fleet in 1999. Photographs on the left were taken when the bus was in the LWB fleet before the transfer, while those on the right were taken after the bus was transferred to KMB.
