The first bus of New World First Bus Services Limited (NWFB) arrived Hong Kong in mid-July 1998. The bus is a Dennis Trident with an Alexander ALX500 body, with 59 seats in the upper deck, 34 seats and 39 standees in the lower deck. Starting from July 28 until the end of August, this bus operated as a mobile customer service centre for the public and travel among major bus termini on Hong Kong Island. The bus was registered as HU 8370 with 1001 as the fleet number. NWFB's franchise to operate 88 public bus routes was effective from 1 September 1998.
