  • ATR1 was first demonstrated to the public in the event of "Public Transport Cares for You". The bus had not been registered yet.

  • ATR1 started passenger service on 17 November 1997 on Route 1A.

  • ATR1 participating in Bus Rally 1998, together with Citybus 2102.

  • The attractive graphics on the body were removed in mid-1998.

  • ATR1 returned to service after involving in the serious 28 April 1999 traffic accident. The front and rear panels were repaired and replaced by standard ones making the bus looked very similar to other Tridents. The original red stripe on the destination panel was disappeared, though those on the side panels were retained.

  • The golden body of the bus was covered by this all-over advertisement of Wonderful Arts Wedding Services in early-2000.

  • The advertisement of the wedding services was replaced by this blue AXA Insurance one in mid-2001.

  • The all-over advertisement of Metro Harbourview, a residential development in Tai Kok Tsui, replaced the insurance advertisement in October 2001.

  • Route 27 was one of the scheduled routes of ATR1.

  • Shortly before ATR1 was again repainted in 2015, serving the scheduled Route 89.

  • ATR1 was again repainted in 2015 aiming to restore the launch livery. However, there are minor differences as compared to the old livery, such as there is only one red stripe on the body instead of two.
  • Date: 2015/07/26


  • On 31 July 2015, ATR1's livery received further modifications, which included adding back the red stripe above the upper-deck windows, and decals saying "Farewell Hong Kong's first Super-low floor double-decker bus, ATR1, 1997-2015".
  • Date: 2015/08/01

  • During the final days of passenger service, ATR1 was allocated back to the scheduled Route 1A.
  • Date: 2015/09/05 (Left) / 2015/09/20 (Others)

  • After 18 years of service, ATR1 retired on 21 September 2015 after completing the last trip on Route 1A, the 5:45pm departure from Sau Mau Ping (Central). KMB held a ceremony upon its arrival in Tsim Sha Tsui Star Ferry terminus.
